For the thoughts you can't say out loud, and the checking, googling and replaying that never quite settles them.

If you've ever had a thought that made you ask "what does this say about me?", you'll know how quickly OCD can take over a day. Therapy can help you spend less time inside your head, and more of it in your life.

Perinatal OCD, in pregnancy and after birth. Unwanted thoughts about your baby can be terrifying, and very hard to say out loud.

I work with parents and parents-to-be, with therapy adapted to life with a baby.

Changes my clients notice

Less noise

Thoughts carry less weight

Intrusive thoughts may still appear, but they start to feel like background noise rather than urgent alarms. Through therapy, you learn to let them drift by without needing to react, allowing them to lose their power over your emotions and your day.

More time

Fewer hours lost to OCD

You will find that far less of your energy is drained by the exhausting cycle of checking, googling, and replaying events in search of certainty. As we work together, these heavy compulsions begin to lift, creating room for you to engage with your day without the constant need for reassurance. Instead of being trapped in a loop of mental rituals, you can begin to trust your own experiences again.

More life

Room for what matters

Activities and places you once avoided out of fear begin to feel accessible again, allowing you to reclaim the hobbies and connections that OCD had previously restricted. As you learn to navigate these moments with greater confidence, your world starts to open up, making genuine room for the people, dreams, and spontaneous plans that truly matter to you.

Does this sound like you?

  • A thought arrives that horrifies you, and you can’t stop asking what it says about you.

  • You check, google, confess or ask for reassurance, and the relief lasts minutes.

  • You replay moments over and over, looking for a certainty that never comes.

  • It got louder when life asked more of you: a new job, a promotion, moving in together, a wedding or a baby.

  • You avoid people, places or things in case they set the thoughts off.

  • You know it doesn’t quite add up, and you still can’t leave it alone.

These can be signs of OCD.

How OCD therapy works with me

CBT with ERP

Exposure and Response Prevention

We will work together to gently face the situations or thoughts that OCD tells you to avoid, while learning to resist the urge to perform compulsions.  By staying present with the discomfort without reacting, you teach your brain that these thoughts aren't actually dangerous.

I-CBT

Inference-based CBT

We examine how your brain builds obsessive doubt through faulty reasoning and imagination, helping you see why the uncertainty feels so real even when there is no evidence. By identifying this process as it happens, you can learn to trust your actual senses rather than the stories OCD creates, significantly reducing the urge to engage in compulsions.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing

We work together to process the distressing memories and past traumas that often sit underneath OCD, moving at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you. By addressing these root experiences, we can help reduce the emotional intensity and physical urgency that fuel your current intrusive thoughts and compulsions.

Hopeful stories from OCD therapy clients
These are real experiences from adults who came to OCD therapy feeling stuck, and found things could change. Everyone's therapy is different, and I can't promise a particular result.

"Charlotte is kind, compassionate and really good at her job. Don’t let the OCD win anymore, just take the leap. There’s a life away from these thoughts and compulsions."
